Evolution Law of Floor Fracture Zone above a Confined Aquifer Using Backfill Replacement Mining Technology

Disturbances owing to coal mining result in the movement and failure of floor strata. Mining-induced fractures within may propagate confined aquifer, thereby causing water inrush disasters. In this study, we propose using strip backfill replacement above aquifer investigate depth floor. The problem is simplified as a distributed force model on half-plane body. First, stress disturbance during calculated results are combined with von Mises yield criterion. Then, destruction after replacing remaining pillars explored. show that widths face play an important role affecting floor: greater width, larger depth. Based parametric study results, retention pillar width 20 m sufficient prevent occurrence accidents. After pillars, area rock mass increases, but maximum remains unchanged. Finally, employed field measurement techniques at Bucun mine monitor shear vertical strains data collected was compared predicted obtained from proposed theoretical model. Good agreement found between monitoring calculation which demonstrate effectiveness method.
